******(Political Blog) 8:30am Mondays is a tough time for me to watch a webcast, getting the kids ready for the day and me ready for work after a quick turnaround anchoring Sunday nights, but I am interested to see how mayoral candidate Tyler Allen's webcasts are going.
His holiday message included an invitation to participate in the chats. In a Democrat primary dominated in the headlines by Jim King and with Greg Fischer lining up endorsements, Allen appears to be getting into the groove of his own style of campaigning :
The e-mail to supporters:
In 2010, for the first time in a generation, the citizens of Louisville will have the opportunity to chart a new course for the city we love when we elect a new Mayor.
With the right leadership we can make our way through these hard times and create a better future for Louisville. With the right leadership we can create the jobs of tomorrow and make essential investments in education, public safety, transportation and our neighborhoods. It is time for a new generation of leaders who will make the future of our city and well-being of all our citizens the highest priority.
As we move into the new year, it is imperative that we roll up our sleeves and get to work. I hope you will join us.
I seek your support to help me communicate this opportunity for real change. Please visit my web site at www.tyler4mayor.com to learn more about our campaign and to contribute online. Also, I invite you to join us LIVE every Monday morning at 8:30 on Ustream.tv for a conversation about Louisville's future.
Peace,
Tyler
