In 2010, for the first time in a generation, the citizens of Louisville will have an opportunity to chart a new course for the city we love when we elect a new Mayor.
With the right leadership we can make our way through these hard times and create a better future for Louisville. With the right leadership we can create the jobs of tomorrow and make essential investments in education, public safety, transportation and our neighborhoods. It is time for a new generation of leaders who will make the future of our city and well-being of all our citizens their highest priority.
There is a book by a surgeon named Dr. Atul Guwande called Better. In the book there’s a quote that says, “Better is possible. It
doesn’t take genius. It takes diligence, it takes moral clarity, it
takes ingenuity, and above all it takes a willingness to try.”
I am running for Mayor because I am determined that
we can do better. We can make wise investments, reduce waste, focus
on results and in the end create a city that is better. Not just
better for some, but better for all of us.
As we move into the new year, it is imperative that we roll up our sleeves and get to work. I hope you will join us.

My very best wishes for a Happy Holiday.
