Since I kicked off my candidacy, I've been doing a lot of listening. I've met with local business and community leaders to hear their ideas about how to grow our economy. I'm doing the same thing in every neighborhood of Louisville because good ideas come from all corners of our great city - from Valley Station to Shawnee, St. Matthews to Portland - not just from a powerful few. Today, I'm taking the conversation online.
We've invited Bloggers from all across Louisville to get an inside view of our campaign and ask the tough questions that will be facing the next Mayor of Louisville. We're calling it "Blogger Breakfasts with Tyler" and will stream LIVE from USTREAM Monday mornings at 8:30am. Join us!
With the right leadership, I know we can attract the jobs of the future and still make essential investments in education, public safety, and transportation that will make Louisville the best city in the nation.
It's important to remember that political power isn't rooted in government; it starts with you. And unless we have the will of the public to make the bold changes necessary to grow our city, we won't do much to stop the obstruction that we have seen for too long.
This campaign is about you, and it won't be a success without your input. So let me know, if you were mayor, what would you do to move Louisville forward and make government work better for our future?
I look forward to learning about your vision of Louisville here and at your door over the coming months.
Peace,
Tyler
